Hold on... Is it just me or wasn't this site called NiNiNhA's HYD before?

Yes, you are right. This site was first created by NiNiNhA to promote the Shoujo series, Hana Yori Dango. Because of its growth in number of staff members, new projects, and visitors, the name has changed to "HYD Scanlations." Nothing fancy. And we decided to leave it as HYD Scanlations mainly because Hanadan was the project that opened the site

Can I use your scanlations on my site?

Yes, as long as you let us know about how you are planning to use it and you get the permission to do so. Also, you must give proper credit. If you use it without permission and/or without proper credit, we will find you and you will regret it!

How can I download your scanlations?

Go to the downloads section by clicking on the icon in the left. Then, just read the instructions provided in the beginning of each series' page

Where did you get your raw scans from?

The Korean scans were downloaded and the Japanese scans were scanned by the members. The scans were downloaded from some of the freechal communities and from the IRC channel #comics at the server irc.dankun.net

When are you going to finish the next chapter?

Is this a rhetorical question? It all depends on how long the editors take to edit the scans and how long the translators take to translate the chapter! Duh~

How often do you guys update the page anyway?

We try to update and upload things as often as we can anyway and thank you for asking

Can I help you with anything?

Sure. Help is always needed. If you are sure you are able to provide something to the welfare of this site and are willing to commit to it, give any of the members a shout, preferably to the project leaders or to NiNiNhA. We also accept anybody who wishes to host our downloads

Who are you guys?

We are aliens from the planet Jupiter who are here to enjoy the simple things in life, such as working like slaves for leechers out there. Just kidding! We are a certain group or people who want to maintain our true selves unknown to the outside world unless we decide to release our personal info

Why are you doing this?

Because we wish to promote certain manga/manhwa series that are not yet licensed in the United States. You are wrong if you think we do this because we like leechers and we also like being bothered by them with stupid and rhetorical questions... -_-;;

What in the world is manga/manhwa?

Ugh! You mean you don't know what manga/manhwa is!? You should at least know what manga is! Manhwa is the name for comic book in Korean

When I try to download the scanlations I get a page that says "Page cannot be displayed." Why is it?

Well, we don't know exactly why, but the reason this happens is probably because freechal is having a bandwidth problem. You should check back after a couple of hours or just wait until the next day

Can you send me XXX, vol. XX chapter XX?

One simple word: NO

I think you stole an image from my site. I want justice now!!

Ok! Ok! If you found an image from your site, prove it! The images available in the market for the series is very limited, so it is most likely that we did not steal from you. We do give proper credit for the images and other things we borrowed from other sites, mind you!

Can you send me a CD with all the chapters you have scanlated so far?

Huh? Are you asking us to send you the CD for free!? Yeah, sure, but in your dreams! We do not offer ordering of chapters of any sort, even if you are willing to pay. Maybe in the near future, but not right now

If I join your staff, do I get to have the chapters before you upload them?

Well, duh! But nice try. Unless you prove to us that you are a very competent person, we will not accept you as a staff member. Before you become one, you will have to go through a painful phase of trials presented by us, your superiors and even if you pass them, you will have to stay on probation for a certain period of time and yada yada. No kidding!

Would you like to form a partnership with my site?

Sure, as long as your site is a manga or manhwa related one

Are you planning to finish all the volumes from the XXX series?

As long as the manga or manhwa doesn't get licensed in the US, we will continue working on it. Once it gets licensed, keep in mind that the chapters will be immediately taken down from the site

What programs do you use for the editing? Can you send me a copy of it?

We use Photoshop 5.0 and up and no, we won't. It is illegal to distribute copies and besides, can you give us a good reason to do so?

Hey! I think I saw you, (insert staff member's name here), the other day!

Great! Good for you! But how can you be so sure it was one of the staff members? And even if you did see any of us, we won't mind you saying hi, but PLEASE, do not ask us if we can give you stuff before we put up in the site or if you can join the crew. Even if we sound nice in the net, we will just turn around and walk away from you or embarrass you in public. It's our policy
